Sheet Mask Marathon: Begin!

I’ve been planning this week for quite some time and I’m so excited that it’s finally here! I feel like sheet masks are all so similar to each other that I don’t feel that a bunch of individual reviews are necessary. That’s why I hardly ever review just sheet masks, but they deserve their time in the limelight. It was after this thought that my Sheet Mask Marathon was born and I decided to devote a week to sheet masks! I’ll be looking at just a few types of sheet masks, brands, and ingredients.

Sheet masks hail from Korea where they first grew popularity. They’ve since come to the West where even celebrities are posting selfies using their favorite sheet masks (see Lady Gaga and Demi Moore below). Most of these masks are cotton sheets packed in essence, but there are many different types popping up now that could still be considered sheet mask: hydrogel, bio-cellular, and more. There’s even masks for your neck, hands, and feet. Seriously!

I’m a tea tree lover. I love the smell, I love the name, and I love that it shrinks up any acne that may have popped up on my skin within a matter of days (or hours…). So when I received this sample of Tony Moly’s I’m Real Tea Tree Sebum and Pore Lotion I was jumping for joy. Tea tree? Check. Control oil? Check. Shrink those pores? Check.

Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream-Review

Awhile back, I did a review of Skin79’s VIP Gold BB Cream. It will suffice to say that I really loved it and if you just don’t believe me, go ahead and click that link. 😉 I’ve tried a few other foundation type makeup products from Korean brands (reviews to come!), but I just couldn’t contain myself and had to post this one asap.

When I tried the gold version, I didn’t quite plan to do a review of this one because I read online that the pink and gold are super similar. Buuut… stashmatters (a blog that I love by the way) asked that I do a comparison when I try the pink. Yes, it’s been awhile. Yes, I can’t believe I hadn’t done it yet. But, yes, here we are now!

Sheet Mask Haul: My Beauty Diary

Hello Lovelies!

I just wanted to do a quick haul post since I received some great products!

My best friend sent me this box of My Beauty Diary sheet masks since she knows that I had been dying to try them. She’s seriously an amazing friend! 😀

My Beauty Diary is actually a Taiwanese brand that markets to other areas in Asia. They are one of the more popular sheet mask brands and are quite affordable, although some of the more limited types (or “flavors”) can go for more.

I won’t do a review of these yet as I plan to do a more in depth review, but I just wanted to share my excitement (although I’ve had these for awhile!).

Skin79 VIP Gold BB Cream–Review

Well, the weekend is almost officially over. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and, to my US readers, I hope you had an amazing 4th of July!

Over the weekend I tried out the VIP Gold BB Cream from Skin79. Skin79 is a pretty well known Korean brand and, of course, Korea is known internationally for their amazing BB creams.

I’m not gonna lie… this was my first Korean BB cream. Sheet masks were actually my gateway drug product into the world of East Asian beauty. So, once I received this sample, I was pretty excited to give it a try. I stupidly didn’t think to take a photo of the sample before tearing it open because I was so damn excited so here’s a photo of the full size version courtesy of Google.
