Jean Pierre Moisturizing Lip Mask–Review

Jean Pierre Moisturizing Lip Mask–Review

Oh, TJ Maxx, you get me in trouble sometimes.

A few weeks ago, I went into TJ Maxx to look for some clothes. I came out with no clothes (warranting a trip to Target next door) and with cosmetics instead. One of those items was this box of lip masks by Jean Pierre Cosmetics.

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 8–Skin Factory Real Honey Moisturizing Ampoule Mask

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 8–Skin Factory Real Honey Moisturizing Ampoule Mask

Yay! It’s day eight of my Sheet Mask Marathon! This is the last day of the featured sheet masks! I hope you enjoyed seeing different types and textures of masks and maybe even placed some orders of your own to try. Tomorrow wraps up the marathon and also features a fun surprise so I hope you’ll stay tuned! If you need to catch up, you can check out the intro here. After that, see the other days:

Day 1 (featuring Etude House Tea Tree),

Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail),

Day 3 (featuring Mediheal WHP Charcoal and Mineral),

Day 4 (featuring Vandeo Marine Algae),

Day 5 (featuring My Beauty Diary Diamond & Caviar),

Day 6 (featuring Freeset Donkey Milk Healing),

and Day 7 (featuring Annie’s Way Seaweed).

Day 8 is all about Skin Factory’s Real Honey Moisturizing Ampoule Mask. Honey has been known as an anti-inflammatory and to help with infection, making it great for acne sufferers (like me). This is my first Skin Factory product but they claim to be “the #1 humanist brand” because they use the “best ingredients”. They also have a “five-free” line which is free of colorants, parabens, pigments, ethanol, and mineral oil.

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 7–Annie’s Way Seaweed

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 7–Annie’s Way Seaweed

Welcome to day seven of my Sheet Mask Marathon! We’re getting close to the end so please stay tuned. There is a special surprise waiting at the end. 😉 To get caught up, you can check out the beginning post here. After you do that, check out:

Day 1 (featuring Etude House Tea Tree),

Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail),

Day 3 (featuring Mediheal WHP Charcoal and Mineral),

Day 4 (featuring Vandeo Marine Algae),

Day 5 (featuring My Beauty Diary Diamond & Caviar)

and Day 6 (featuring Freeset Donkey Milk Healing).

Day 7 is about one of my new found loves in the sheet mask world: Annie’s Way. I stumbled across these by complete chance. I was scouring Ebay looking for cheap sheet masks. These popped up in an auction (I prefer Buy It Now) and I figured if I could get them for a dollar or less (with free shipping), then great, but if not… whatever. I won most of them, though some went to about two dollars a piece. The seaweed is the one I was most excited for. If you’ve seen my first Lush haul with Big Blue, then you know I’m a maniac for anything seaweed. Plus, it’s anti-acne. Score!

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 6–Freeset Donkey Milk Healing

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 6–Freeset Donkey Milk Healing

Welcome to day six of my Sheet Mask Marathon! To get a better idea (if you don’t know what’s going on), check out my intro post here. After reading that, or if you missed anything, check out the previous days here:

Day 1 (featuring Etude House Tea Tree),

Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail),

Day 3 (featuring Mediheal WHP Charcoal and Mineral),

Day 4 (featuring Vandeo Marine Algae)

and Day 5 (featuring My Beauty Diary Diamond & Caviar).

Day 6 is all about donkey milk. Yes, I said it. If you thought snail mucin, bee venom, and starfish was weird… well, then I have another thing for you. Donkey milk is one of the more recent (but not entirely brand new) innovations in Asian skincare. It’s known to be rich in proteins, have a lot more vitamin C than cow’s milk, and is soothing for those with trouble skin. Because of these ingredients, donkey milk boosts skin regeneration and helps to improve wrinkles.

Sheet Mask Marathon Day 5: My Beauty Diary Diamond & Caviar

Welcome to day four of my Sheet Mask Marathon! For an intro to what’s going on (or a quick recap), head on over to the beginning post here. After that, check out:

Day 1 (featuring Etude House Tea Tree),

Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail),

Day 3 (featuring Mediheal WHP Charcoal and Mineral),

and Day 4 (featuring Vandeo Marine Algae).

Day 4 is about this My Beauty Diary Diamond & Caviar Moisturizing Mask. My Beauty Diary is actually a Taiwanese brand, but they are one of the most popular brands for sheet masks, especially in China, Taiwan, and overseas. They are affordable and good quality. I specifically chose this mask because it’s a two piece mask (like a bikini except not as attractive). Two piece masks have a top, that goes from your forehead to your nose, and a bottom that covers from your nose to your chin/jawline. This particular mask goes down your neck and has holes so you can loop it around your ears. So. Weird.

I knew I had to try it!

Day 1 (featuring Etude House Tea Tree),

Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail Solution),

and Day 3 (featuring Mediheal WHP Charcoal and Mineral).

Day 4 is all about Vanedo. The whole name is actually Vanedo Beauty Friends Marine Algae. I wasn’t looking for any particular skin benefits when I reached for this mask. I just thought that marine algae sounded nice. 😉

So here we are at day three of my Sheet Mask Marathon. You can check out the intro post here for more information if you need it. After that, check out:

Day 1 (featuring Etude House Tea Tree Oil)

and Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail Solution).

Today is all about the charcoal! I found myself having a breakout one week along with dryness. So I reached for my Mediheal WHP (white hydrating power) Charcoal-Mineral sheet mask. Mediheal (from my research… if I’m wrong, please correct me) is a sister brand to Leader’s. Both of these brands are popular in Korea and many k-beauty enthusiasts love their sheet masks.

Whoo hoo! Day 1 of my Sheet Mask Marathon. I’ll be highlighting some sheet masks that I’ve used during this week to show some of the many different options you have for sheet masks. For info about what’s going on, read my  intro here.

Etude House is a Korean brand that markets skincare products as well as makeup and even some accessories. They specialize in cute and pretty packaging. I’ve read that their demographic is more geared towards teens and young women, but I feel like a lot of women enjoy the princess feel from time to time.

Sheet Mask Marathon: Begin!

Sheet Mask Marathon: Begin!

MaskerAide_directions

I’ve been planning this week for quite some time and I’m so excited that it’s finally here! I feel like sheet masks are all so similar to each other that I don’t feel that a bunch of individual reviews are necessary. That’s why I hardly ever review just sheet masks, but they deserve their time in the limelight. It was after this thought that my Sheet Mask Marathon was born and I decided to devote a week to sheet masks! I’ll be looking at just a few types of sheet masks, brands, and ingredients.

Sheet masks hail from Korea where they first grew popularity. They’ve since come to the West where even celebrities are posting selfies using their favorite sheet masks (see Lady Gaga and Demi Moore below). Most of these masks are cotton sheets packed in essence, but there are many different types popping up now that could still be considered sheet mask: hydrogel, bio-cellular, and more. There’s even masks for your neck, hands, and feet. Seriously! Read more

Ellen Tracy Radiant Eye Mask–Review

Ellen Tracy Radiant Eye Mask–Review

Today’s review doesn’t hail from Korea. While it may have taken a cue from Asian beauty strategy, Ellen Tracy has roots in the US. I scored this box of eye masks (4 sets) in TJ Maxx for only about $4. I am a sucker for masks and figured I’d give them a go! There were a few different kinds, but I chose the “Radiance” for the vitamins and antioxidants.
