At the beginning of the new year I decided that I wanted to bring a series to the blog. I love doing review and haul posts, but I wanted a little more regularity to add in to the content. I love reading bloggers’ posts about monthly empties, hauls, and the like, but the one thing I really love to read is about their favorite products of the month.
I blog mostly about beauty products, which was obviously intended, but I have found that I like blogging about lifestyle topics, too. So, with my new series, I’ve decided to Read more
On a recent order for a fresh batch of makeup and skin care, I purchased the Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk in BE106. Admittedly, I didn’t need a new lipstick–I have a collection in my bag already–but I’d read such great reviews that I had to try it myself.
Spoilers: I may be in love.

To look my best around this time of year I, of course, focus on how I can switch up my skin care for my changing skin. This time of year, it’s growing colder and darker. I can’t stand being cold so the heat gets turned up and the fire is sparked. But with rising temperatures, the humidity is zapped from the air, causing my skin to dry out. Usually my skin is normal to oily, but in the winter it becomes a lot more dry. Below are products that I like to use to combat dry winter skin to make sure that my skin is #HolidayHaute and I look my best!
The matte lipstick trend has been going strong in fashion for awhile now, maybe due to celebrities like Kylie Jenner. I, for one, have found it difficult to hop on that bandwagon. It’s not because I can’t appreciate a gorgeous, full matte lip… but because I hate the way it feels. I find myself licking my lips, rubbing my lips together, and biting my lips… all. the. time. I always have some kind of balm on and prefer lip gloss or creamy lipsticks that shine over matte finishes. It’s just who I am.
So for now I patiently wait for this trend to pass.
That’s when this Makeup By Evon Cream Matte Lipstick fell into my lap… or, rather, my Memebox (reviewed here). This one is in the shade Daring Marsala. Initially I was not too excited. It’s matte. But, like a good beauty blogger, I sucked it up and tried it on. 😉

In the Asian beauty world, lip tints rule. Well, not quite, but they’re pretty prominent in fashion. The gradient lip (usually achieved with a tint) is something that has become quite popular by teens, young women, and celebrities alike. So of course I was excited to get my hands on a new tint! This RiRe lip tint arrived in my Lucky Box by Memebox which I did a haul post of here.

Hello beautiful people!
Okay, the title is a smidge misleading. This isn’t really a “haul” per say as I only got one item of each brand, but I’ve been pretty excited about them and wasn’t sure what to title this post.
So without further adieu, let me show you my new stuff! Read more
