It’s been awhile!
Honestly, I had lost track of how much time had passed since I decided to take a blogging break. I thought I owed it to my readers and friends to let you know where I’ve been, what I have planned for the future, and what’s going on in my pretty little head. Read more
At the beginning of the new year I decided that I wanted to bring a series to the blog. I love doing review and haul posts, but I wanted a little more regularity to add in to the content. I love reading bloggers’ posts about monthly empties, hauls, and the like, but the one thing I really love to read is about their favorite products of the month.
I blog mostly about beauty products, which was obviously intended, but I have found that I like blogging about lifestyle topics, too. So, with my new series, I’ve decided to Read more
2015 was definitely a whirlwind of a year for me personally. The 2015 Spring semester of college seems like it was ages ago. Some great and likewise not-so-great things happened this year, but I try to continue with the thought that everything happens for a reason.
2015 was also the year that I decided to try blogging. I went into it with the intentions of just having a little place to put my thoughts down, but a few hundred followers later and I’m in awe. I really can’t believe that so many people think that my blog is interesting enough to subscribe to. I’m truly thankful for each one of you and hope that I can make The Pretty Pomegranate even better and brighter in the new year.
I wish you all the very best and will see you in 2016!
Let’s get social!
We all have a few things on our wishlists this year. We may get a few things, we may not, but the fun is in the wishing.
I remember when I was a kid, I would lay down on the floor with that ten pound JCPenney catalog and write out everything I was interested in. Twelve pages and two hours later, we found out that apparently I wanted everything from new pajamas (in every color) to a bunk bed for just myself. When Christmas came I didn’t get everything I wanted and that was okay. Honestly, I forgot about most everything I wrote down (I thought that was the point of writing it down!), but I still have fond memories of Christmases with my family and every year was always a fun occasion. Oh, pandas. Man, are they cute!
Probably Tony Moly’s most known product is the Panda’s Dream White Magic Cream. Even Urban Outfitters sells it and it’s been cropping up on beauty lists all over the internet. Besides his cute factor, this chubby panda claims to brighten, whiten, and fade hyper-pigmentation.
I received a couple samples of this, which was great because I had been interested in buying it, but was concerned about exactly how “bright” and “white” I would become. Read more

I know that summer is wrapping up as we speak (err… type…) but sunscreen is so important year round. We are most aware of the sun’s rays when we are melting in the summer heat, but the UV damage can happen in the winter time, too.
That’s why I decided to go ahead and try the Skinfood Gold Kiwi Sun Cream for you guys and post my review. I did hesitate for a moment before deciding to schedule this because swimsuits and maxi dresses are being traded for scarfs and knee boots (at least for us in the Northern hemisphere!), but this is still an important and relevant product!
Awhile back, I did a review of Skin79’s VIP Gold BB Cream. It will suffice to say that I really loved it and if you just don’t believe me, go ahead and click that link. 😉 I’ve tried a few other foundation type makeup products from Korean brands (reviews to come!), but I just couldn’t contain myself and had to post this one asap.
When I tried the gold version, I didn’t quite plan to do a review of this one because I read online that the pink and gold are super similar. Buuut… stashmatters (a blog that I love by the way) asked that I do a comparison when I try the pink. Yes, it’s been awhile. Yes, I can’t believe I hadn’t done it yet. But, yes, here we are now!

Happy Hump Day!
Hopefully by the end of next week everything will be back to normal as far as the blog is concerned. Until then, I wanted to give a quick review of my experience with Memebox.

Hi Lovelies! (Warning: Picture heavy! 😉 )
Happy Hump Day! I figured today was a good day to do a highlight on some of the products I use for a casual day look. My go-to list of products is constantly changing, but here are some that I use pretty often (for now…). I wanted a soft, feminine look and used the products pictured below:
You guys are absolutely amazing and I can’t stress that enough. I began The Pretty Pomegranate just a few weeks ago and here I am at (a little over) 150 followers. So thank you, thank you, thank you Read more
