I really love cleansing foams. I double cleanse at the end of the day (using an oil based cleanser first, followed by a water based foam cleanser) and the second step is one I always look forward to. I had a back stock of my Murad Pomegranate Foaming Cleanser, but as I was running out, I wanted to find a Korean alternative that was, preferably, more inexpensive.
I stumbled across the Missha Strawberry Latte Cleansing Foam and, at only about 5 bucks, figured why not?

It seems like I always end up trying trends backwards. I was addicted to sheet masks before I even tried my first Korean BB cream, I didn’t like matte lipsticks until after their peak, and I tried a “solid” version of an oil cleanser before an actual oil. Oy vey!
If you hadn’t heard, oil cleansers are great for those with oily skin because oil breaks down oil. It may sound counter intuitive, but cleansing with an oil at the end of the day can help to sweep away all that excess sebum that has built up. Oil cleansers also break down your stubborn, oil based makeup with ease, thus preparing your skin for the second cleanse step: the foaming cleanser. But we’ll leave the foam for another day. 😉
actual oil cleanser experience was with The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil. Phew! That’s a mouthful.
