With my normal to oily skin, I use my Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream in the Summer, but use mostly cushion compacts in the Winter because cushion compacts are more moisturizing to me. I’ve tried the IOPE Air Cushion Compact and really loved it, so I wanted more.
The Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion is a pretty well known product in the k-beauty world. It seems that people either love it or they don’t care for it. I received a deluxe sample of it a while back (enough for a few weeks’ worth or applications) and felt ready to share my views on it.

Fall is the perfect time for apples. Apple pie, apple cider, apple donuts… I’m making myself hungry!
We may be only a few short weeks away from December, but apples are still very much a part of the season. So Tony Moly’s Apple Detox Honey Cream was a perfect addition to my routine for a short time.
I’m not a gambler. Not by a long shot. I’m that person that carefully watches her money and only banks on safe investments. Two dollar scratch off lottery tickets from the gas station are few and far between. And, even though it’s just two bucks, when I lose, I’m truly sad.
Cue a few weeks ago when Memebox put out their Lucky Box. It’s a mystery box that guarantees a retail value of at least $55 and up to $160 with 6-8 full size products in each box. I was so tempted by this box, but there were no reviews and no more details. I kept coming back to their website only to hit the close button on the web browser. After encouragement from my hubby to splurge on that one last birthday gift, I hit confirm and my Lucky Box was on its way. Read more

Everyone, everywhere has been predicting the rise of the cushion compact. Michelle Phan mentions it here and here, Into the Gloss raves about it here, and South Korean women have been utilizing its benefits for awhile already. I did my own research to find out more about them.
So what is it?
Awhile back, I did a review of Skin79’s VIP Gold BB Cream. It will suffice to say that I really loved it and if you just don’t believe me, go ahead and click that link. 😉 I’ve tried a few other foundation type makeup products from Korean brands (reviews to come!), but I just couldn’t contain myself and had to post this one asap.
When I tried the gold version, I didn’t quite plan to do a review of this one because I read online that the pink and gold are super similar. Buuut… stashmatters (a blog that I love by the way) asked that I do a comparison when I try the pink. Yes, it’s been awhile. Yes, I can’t believe I hadn’t done it yet. But, yes, here we are now!

Hi Lovelies! (Warning: Picture heavy! 😉 )
Happy Hump Day! I figured today was a good day to do a highlight on some of the products I use for a casual day look. My go-to list of products is constantly changing, but here are some that I use pretty often (for now…). I wanted a soft, feminine look and used the products pictured below:
You guys are absolutely amazing and I can’t stress that enough. I began The Pretty Pomegranate just a few weeks ago and here I am at (a little over) 150 followers. So thank you, thank you, thank you Read more
Well, the weekend is almost officially over. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and, to my US readers, I hope you had an amazing 4th of July!
Over the weekend I tried out the VIP Gold BB Cream from Skin79. Skin79 is a pretty well known Korean brand and, of course, Korea is known internationally for their amazing BB creams.
I’m not gonna lie… this was my first Korean BB cream. Sheet masks were actually my gateway
drug product into the world of East Asian beauty. So, once I received this sample, I was pretty excited to give it a try. I stupidly didn’t think to take a photo of the sample before tearing it open because I was so damn excited so here’s a photo of the full size version courtesy of Google.
