It’s been awhile!
Honestly, I had lost track of how much time had passed since I decided to take a blogging break. I thought I owed it to my readers and friends to let you know where I’ve been, what I have planned for the future, and what’s going on in my pretty little head.
First off: My skincare game has changed so much. I’ve been focusing more on finding my holy grail products. You’ll be pleased to know that I have not had even one cystic pimple since I started using the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence back in Sept/Oct. I’m not even exaggerating. Benton is my bae! I’ve been focusing on incorporating acids into my routine as well. So far so good. I’m torn between being excited to get to that sweet spot that my skin loves and kind of not wanting to because I love trying new products and discovering new things.
How’s my life been? Good. Actually, better than good. I found out I was accepted into university back at the end of March which, of course, was (and still is) a huge deal for me. I then became stressed about how I would pay for everything so I filled out a very long, very boring, and very detailed application to petition them to change my residency status from out-of-state to in-state for tuition purposes (a difference of about 10k, give or take). After less than a week, I found out that I was accepted and was changed to in-state tuition. So pretty much a lot of life changing things have gone down over the past couple of months.
I’m already signed up for my classes which is absolutely insane. I’m a Public Relations major with a Japanese Language minor and, while I’ve been in school since 2013, this is the first semester I’ll be able to take degree specific classes and it’s freaking. me. out. But, ya know, in a good way. 😉 I’ll have one Communications course, one Public Relations course, and two Japanese courses (one general and one conversational). Meeting my academic adviser was terrifying. I had to navigate this giant campus (which feels like the size of my old city) for the very first time. It’s absolutely gorgeous, though, and I’m so excited to finally start in the Fall!
Unfortunately, I will need to continue to work full time at my job. This means a lot of late nights, early mornings, and truck loads of Baccus X Korean Ginseng energy drinks in my future. Sadly this means that I have no plans to return to blogging in the near future. It breaks my heart because I have loved connecting with each of you, but I know there will just be no time for all that it takes to put in a quality post. I do hope to add in snippets of my life, how I’m doing, and all of that–kind of like a lifestyle blog. There won’t be any scheduling as I won’t be able to plan these types of posts, but I hope to check in from time to time. =)
I will not be deleting The Pretty Pomegranate as I feel like this blog is a part of me. I hope to continue blogging in the future, but I know that at least for the next academic year I won’t be able to continue. One of my big goals is to study abroad in Japan and I definitely plan on making a (probably separate) blog to document my adventure.
Please comment below and say hello!! I miss all of you and would love to hear about how you’ve been doing. ❤
