Yay! It’s day eight of my Sheet Mask Marathon! This is the last day of the featured sheet masks! I hope you enjoyed seeing different types and textures of masks and maybe even placed some orders of your own to try. Tomorrow wraps up the marathon and also features a fun surprise so I hope you’ll stay tuned! If you need to catch up, you can check out the intro here. After that, see the other days:

Day 2 (featuring Nature Republic Snail),
Day 3 (featuring Mediheal WHP Charcoal and Mineral),
Day 4 (featuring Vandeo Marine Algae),
Day 5 (featuring My Beauty Diary Diamond & Caviar),
Day 6 (featuring Freeset Donkey Milk Healing),
and Day 7 (featuring Annie’s Way Seaweed).
Day 8 is all about Skin Factory’s Real Honey Moisturizing Ampoule Mask. Honey has been known as an anti-inflammatory and to help with infection, making it great for acne sufferers (like me). This is my first Skin Factory product but they claim to be “the #1 humanist brand” because they use the “best ingredients”. They also have a “five-free” line which is free of colorants, parabens, pigments, ethanol, and mineral oil.
What it does: It claims to boost elasticity, but what I was really after was the moisturization. I had been suffering from a hormonal acne breakout, over treated my skin, and was left with inflamed, flaky skin. Honey to the rescue!
Ingredients: Honey is a lot farther down the ingredients list that I was first anticipating. There’s also Chinese herbs and other various botanicals, which I always love. Add to that the moisturizers and this seems like a pretty good ampoule.
The fit: This is where this mask goes all wrong. It’s like it was made for someone with an extremely long face. (I’m bombarded with thoughts of “why the long face?” jokes…) There was way too much material in the center of the mask and not enough on the sides. It didn’t even cover all my cheeks which is where most of my inflammation was! Other reviewers online said that the mask was rough (I didn’t notice this) and didn’t hold the ampoule well (that explains why it dried so quickly). Overall, did not like the fit. It does have the eye flaps, which I like in a mask), but I didn’t use them this time.
The smell: I was a little disappointed in the smell. I look forward to the strong scent of honey in my cosmetics, but this one I’m guessing since honey is low on the ingredients list just smelled like watered down honey. Don’t get me wrong. It didn’t smell bad. It just didn’t have a delightfully strong honey scent.
The rating: The actual sheet wasn’t great to deal with. Because I don’t have a long, skinny face, the material kept bunching and wouldn’t lay flat. I was also disappointed by the ranking of actual honey in the ingredients list. On the other hand, I loved the addition of herbs and botanicals and there was so much ampoule in the pack that I was able to slather it on my face, arms, chest, neck, and even legs… twice! Seriously, it was about a quarter filled! It really helped the flakiness I was having and my skin felt really moisturized afterwards. I didn’t see results in inflammation the first day, but by the second application my skin had calmed a ton. I rate the Skin Factory Real Honey Moisturizing Ampoule Mask 3.5 pomegranates. I wish there was more honey in the ampoule and the fit was not the best by far, but I feel that it did help the skin concerns I was having.
You can snag this mask on Memebox here. And, if you’re new to Memebox, you can use my referral code here which saves you 20% off your first purchase of $25 or more!

They are so lovely! I really liked this ampoule, too! I wish it would’ve had more honey and smelled more like honey, but it really made my skin moisturized and glowy. 😀

This one did have a weird fit. Hmm

It did! It was like it would only fit someone with an abnormally long, skinny head. haha! Definitely not me. The ampoule was really nice, though! 😉

Omg you’re cracking me up!! How did you like it? I’ve heard Dr Jart is a good brand, but haven’t tried anything from them except swatching a bb cream a few months ago.

It was ok. I wouldn’t buy it again. I thought the Karuna one produced a noticeable result and the Dr. Jart one wasn’t as smooth. I am going to buy that Karuna mask again for sure.

Yes, sometimes I use honey with lemon juice as a natural exfoliator onto my skin and I know its outcome results are outstandingly awesome.

I like the eye flaps too for some reason – I have been known to lay down and put the eye flaps over my eyes. 🙂 Great job on the sheet mask series!

Yes! I love the eye flaps, too. And when you’re tired of using them, you can fold them down and get a little extra hydration around your eyes. 😉 And thank you so much for the compliment! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
