It’s been a scorcher the past few days and I’ve been so thankful for the rain. I’m also doubly thankful for the weekend!
I wanted to share my experience with Skinfood’s Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Emulsion. Emulsions are the moisturization… before night cream moiszurization. You can read more about that here.
The ingredients include unripe green apple extract and soda water. It is meant to help minimize pores and control oiliness. Perfect! Because if there’s anything I can tell you about my T-zone, it’s that it’s oily. Moving on…
I did my usual nightly routine and, since I don’t have any cotton rounds, used my fingers to apply this emulsion. It’s thin and a little milky looking. I was slightly disappointed because it didn’t smell like apples or feel very “sparkly”. After reading some info online, that may not be the norm. Most people claim they smell “watered down apples” and can feel the slightest, tiniest tingle. My sample wasn’t expired so I just don’t know.
I didn’t notice a difference in the size of my pores, unfortunately. I did, however, notice a difference in oil production. My T-zone seemed less oily and shiny while I used this. Win!
I give Skinfood’s Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Emulsion 4 pomegranates. I loved that it helped with oil production (especially in the middle of summer), but it didn’t seem to help much else, especially pore size.
If you’d like to try it for yourself, you can find it on Amazon.com here.
What products have you found that help with pore size and/or oiliness? What about duds?
