Hello beautiful people! The Pretty Pomegranate hit 100 followers today and that’s so amazing! Thank you to everyone that has decided my blog is worth following!

Today I wanted to tell you guys about this cute little cleansing balm I tried and that is the Clean It Zero (Original) by Banila Co. First off, cleansing balms are like oil cleansers, but they have a sherbet consistency in the container. When you scoop out a little and gently rub between your fingers, it becomes the oil cleanser. They are claimed to be able to clean any oil and makeup off, including your eye makeup.

So, of course, I decided to give it a try!

(Disclaimer: Photos taken from Google because I already used the product.)

First off, this is the only cleansing balm I’ve ever used. This brand is pretty much the number one selling balm in Korea and a cult favorite so I knew I needed to get my hands on it. Sure enough, the product is like a soft sherbet and the smell is very pleasant. It is just a hint of floral and fruity. That may be the raspberry, papaya, and cherry extract found in it. I took about an almond sized amount in my fingers and gently rubbed together until it softened. After some trial and error, I found that I needed to tap the product onto my face on the forehead, nose, cheeks. This allowed me to get the cleanser evenly over my face.

I’ll admit, the feel of it on my face took a little getting used to. It felt like there wasn’t enough product (even though, when I opened my eyes, I could tell there was). But it quickly grew on me and let me tell you why:

This stuff seriously cleans. I tried it with a full face of makeup and it got everything. I mean, I didn’t even have raccoon eyes from mascara. Granted, I don’t wear waterproof mascara so I can’t tell you for sure about that (even though there’s reviews everywhere where people claim it does), but it took off everything for me. It’s also really moisturizing.

I give it four pomegranates and let me tell you why it doesn’t get the full five. I still haven’t completely gotten used to using this yet, but I feel like with time it will become second nature. I also like to use this in the morning instead of at night. I just use so many moisturizers at night and feel like I get more benefits, personally, from using this in the morning to help moisturize. It’s also got mineral oil in it (a source of controversy for many bbloggers) so it may require double cleansing.

Overall, this is a great product that deserves it’s popularity.
