Hi everyone! First of all, thank you for all of the love and support I have received the past few days. It means so much to me that I have this blog family looking out for me! 😉 On that note, I’m so excited to be back to blogging as it had quickly become a therapy and ritual for me each day.
I’ve been testing new products and today I wanted to give you guys my review of Skinfood’s Premium Avocado Rich Essence. I was lucky enough to sample this product a couple of weeks ago and it has become one of my favs! Full disclosure: you will likely be seeing a ton of Skinfood products in the future, not because of compensation, but I truly just have loved nearly everything I’ve tried by them. Skinfood gets it’s name from the fact that they use food type products (fruits, veggies, and sometimes even grains!) in order to deliver great skincare results using what Mother Nature gave us.
This essence (and if you aren’t sure which step to use this in, check out this post) contains 20% avocado extract to deliver all those amazing vitamins that avocados hold. Skinfood claims that this is a “soft serum-type essence with nutrients from various extracts [that] nourishes and hydrates dull skin, leaving it silky-smooth”. (Taken from Skinfood’s US site.)
Of course, my nightly regimen is when I really break out the good stuff because our skin drinks up whatever we put on it, especially as we sleep. So I used this in my regular nighttime routine. I can’t even say enough great things about it! It’s a thin creamy kind of consistency (so, thicker than the Tomato Whitening Essence). It’s almost like a moisturizer in itself, but I slathered on my usual night cream. When I woke up in the morning, my skin was refreshed and plump with moisture. It also felt very smooth!
I would definitely buy the full size of this essence! I wouldn’t use it every night as I rotate with acne-fighting products, but this is a great product to really pack in some moisture and brighten up dull skin. I give it 4.5 pomegranates since I wouldn’t use it every night.
Have you tried any Skinfood brand products? If not, products that boast lots of fruit or veggie extracts?
